The Redmond Food Project provides a simple way to support those with food insecurity. Every two months, neighbors fill reusable green bags, and volunteers collect and deliver the donations.

How It Works

The Redmond Food Project provides a practical way for neighbors to support local families. Its coordinated collection system makes regular food donation possible.

Sign Up

Join the Redmond Food Project and receive your reusable green donation bag. Once you're part of the program, you'll be included in up to 6 collection days each year.

Fill Your Bag

Before each collection day, add non-perishable food items to your green bag. Fill it in no time with a few extra items every time you shop for yourself.

Leave It Outside

On collection day, simply place your green bag outside your door. Your neighborhood coordinator will collect it along with other bags in your area.

Volunteers Deliver

Neighborhood coordinators gather food donations and deliver them directly to the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry, where it is distributed to families who need it most.

A Simple Way to Help Your Neighbors

Every two months, participating households leave out their filled green bags and neighborhood volunteers handle pickup and delivery. The process is designed to be consistent, low-friction, and easy to repeat over time.

Food collection happens six times a year, every even month on the second Saturday. Donors are asked to leave out their green bags by 9:00 am.
