Our Story

The Redmond Food Project is a 100% volunteer organization that was started in April 2020 by a small group of residents who wanted to help fight hunger in the Redmond area.

While volunteering at The Giving Plate Food Bank in Bend, OR, one of our members was introduced to the Bend Food Project. The success of that project, along with many others around our state and throughout the U.S. inspired us to adopt the same simple, door-to-door collection model to enable community members to pitch in and help their neighbors in need.

100% of the food we collect from our generous donors stays within the Redmond School District.
